Galeno e le sue traduzioni

Stefania Fortuna

Galen was very important in the history of medicine and science from late antiquity to the 19th century. His works were translated into Syriac, Arabic, Hebrew, and Latin. This article reconstructs the history of Galen's translations, and provides an example of three different Latin translations of the pathological work On affected parts: two are medieval translations, one from Arabic, another from Greek, and the third translation was made by the humanist physician Wilhelm Kopp.
